yajña (यज्ञ) – sacrifice

 

yakṣa (यक्ष) – benevolent nature spirits

 

Yamarāja (यमराज) – the demigod who is the superintendent of punishment after death

 

yama-dūta (यमदूत) – the messengers of envoys of Yamarāja

 

yamala-arjuna (यमलार्जुन) – a type of tree; the trees Lord Kṛṣṇa broke in order to liberate the two cursed demigods
