RAGA and TALA: The spelling is based on Sanskrit spelling. For example, “Gorakh Sarang” would be transliterated as “Gaurakha Saranga.” In addition, the vast majority of the names presented on KKSongs Ragamala and KKSongs Talamala are based off of North Indian musical tradition. Please note that many of these names are common with South Indian musical traditional names. (for example, Hindola in North Indian is very different to the Hindolam of South Indian music).
