śītathe cold; ātapa–the heat; bāta–the wind; bariṣaṇa–the rain; e–this; dina–the day; yāminī–the night; jāgi–I remain sleepless; re–O!; biphale–uselessly; sevinu–I have served; kṛpaṇa durajana–miserly and wicked men; capala–flickering; sukha-lava–a fraction of happiness; lāgi' –for the purpose of; re–O!
