KKSongs Instrumental Guides
Since the beginning of January 2004, I began writing a series of guides on how to play various traditional instruments of North India. There are many teachers of Indian music all over the world, but these guides can help serve as a good foundation and support of what an Indian music teacher might instruct.
In order to access these guides, please click on the photo of the particular instrument in order to view the guide. If there are any questions, comments, or suggestions regarding anything from these guides, please visit the Contact KKSongs Page found on the home page.

FULL LENGTH GUIDES:
KKSongs offers full length guides on the tabla, harmonium, and khol. These guides are lengthy and in-depth on the instrument. One would not need any prerequisites in starting with these full guides. These guides will meet prerequisites for other Indian instruments.

(Learn to play Vaisnava songs and Hare Krsna songs) |
TUTORIALS:
KKSongs offers three musical tutorials in esraj, tanpura, and sitar. The purpose of the tutorials is to show the rudimentary basics on how to produce various sounds and techniques. These instruments have prerequisites required such as understanding ragas, talas, and ornamentation forms at the minimum. These are not full length guides.
