Hare Krsna!

Thank you very much for your patience. Around May 9, 2010, the new proposed things, like the video page and the inclusion of more mahamantra notations, will slowly be implemented. The only videos posted are the Ramayana videos and the first eight episodes of Mahabharata. Due to certain incompletions, there may be some broken links as a result. Please report any broken links, but clicking the Contact KKSongs.org link from homepage.

Please forgive us for any inconvenience caused by this.

Forthcoming events to mark on your calendars:

February 28: The auspicious 524th anniversary of the appearance day of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu (Gaura Purnima). This is celebrated by fasting till moon-rise, chanting and read glories of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu; then, break with Ekadasi-style dinner (i.e. no grains/beans).

This marks the Vaisnava New Year and the celebration of the color-festival, “Holi.”

March 11: Papamocani Ekadasi: Please fast from grains and beans on this day.

March 24: Rama Navami: This is the anniversary day of Lord Ramacandra’s appearance on earth. Lord Rama was the incarnation of the Supreme Lord portraying the ideal man in all aspects (as a son, as a brother, as a loyal husband), and a model king. Devotees celebrate this day by fasting till sunset, reading the glories of Lord Rama through the Ninth Canto of the Srimad Bhagavatam or the Ramayana. The fasting is broken with an Ekadasi meal (i.e. no grains and beans).

March 26: Kamada Ekadasi: Please fast from grains and beans on this day.

I do want to re-emphasize that these dates are in sync with Chicago, IL, USA. The date may vary slightly depending on the lunar position of the location. Therefore, please contact your nearest Gaudiya Vaisnava center to collect proper dates and fast-breaking times.

Hari Bol!
