Chapter 27: Song Practice (XII)

During the festival of Radhastami, the appearance day of Sri Radha, the famous song by Rupa Goswami is sung. Known as the Radhika Stava, Radhe Jaya Jaya Madhava has two tunes. The originally intended tune (based off of Raga Bhairavi) that Rupa Goswami intended is hardly ever sung today. The tune commonly sung is a loose rendition of Raga Durga. It has one asthayi and one antara. The asthayi is only at the refrain and the antara are at the verses.
