Springtime is the mood that comes with this raga. Raga Bahar (bahar means “spring-environment”) is a raga from the Kafi that, which also represents a season. Elements of spring, in terms of nature, involves does include rain, sometimes being to the extent of thunderstorms. This explains the amazing similarity to Raga Malhar in some ways. However, the mood is very flowery. The aroha is more inclined to the Bhimphalasi/Dhani ragas, while the avaroha is more Megha-Malhara oriented.
