Campaka
Savari is an eleven matra
beat that is played on the tabla. Although not a very
common tala, it is played in slow tempos during
occasional kheyal performances. One fascinating
feature is the use of fractional divisions. The ending of the savari family of talas will have
such fractional endings as shown from the beginning of matras
9½ to the end of the cycle
