One of the most versatile talas in North Indian music is Kaherva tala. The tala is eight matras long with tali on the sam and khali on matra 5. The bol feature, however, has many forms that it becomes difficult to identify each of the prakars. The bols shown above has been regarded, for the most part, as the official theka.
