Stavavali
Author: Raghunatha Dasa Goswami
Year: cerca 1550
Language: Sanskrit
The
Stavavali, or “the collection of hymns,” is a very
famous songbook written by Srila Raghunatha
Das Goswami. The Stavavali consists of four volumes filled with stotrams (systematic hymns with no fixed number of verses),
astakams (systematic hymns of eight verses), and dasakams (systematic hymns with ten verses). The Stavavali contains prayers that glorify various
personalities from Krsna lila.
Compared
to Srila Rupa Goswami’s “Stavamala,” the Stavavali is more intimate devotionally. Some of these
songs are not posted for this reason.
Volume
2 was not available to KKSongs. Only Volumes 1, 3,
and 4 are available to KKSongs.
